I am very “irresponsible” in art — I don’t define myself as anyone (and truthfully, I’m no one in particular), so I can do whatever I want without being criticized or judged. My only responsibility is to stay true to my own emotions and to respect the authors.
There are songs I sing quite poorly: when my voice doesn’t suit them, when my voice is weak, or when I have to whisper in the middle of the night… but the “trouble is” I simply can’t resist those sources of inspiration; and one thing is certain — I sing the songs I love, the ones I understand, and I give them my best.

Tôi rất “vô trách nhiệm” trong nghệ thuật, không tự định nghĩa mình là ai (và thực ra, tôi cũng chẳng là ai), để có thể làm bất cứ điều gì mình muốn mà không bị phê bình, phán xét. Trách nhiệm duy nhất của tôi là sống thật với cảm xúc của mình và tôn trọng các tác giả.
Có những bài tôi hát rất dở: đó là khi giọng không hợp, khi giọng yếu, hay khi phải thì thào giữa đêm khuya… nhưng “ngặt một nỗi” không chống lại được những nguồn cảm hứng; và chắc chắn một điều rằng, tôi hát những bài tôi yêu thích, tôi hiểu và tôi cố gắng.
